Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock

KanbawzathadiDepart Yangon early this morning to Golden Rock. En route, stop in Bago exploring and learning about the history and myths of the city. Stops include the 55-metre long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha, the four seated Buddhas at Kyaikpun and the old palace of Kambozathadi. The Mon-style Shwemawdaw Pagoda is the most outstanding religious monument in Bago.

Then continue journey to Kyaikhtiyo and the Golden Rock, a huge boulder covered by gold leaf and balancing on the edge of a cliff. Near base camp have lunch at a local restaurant. From the base-camp, Travel by local open-air truck upto the final stop of the Golden Rock Mountain. You will then walk about 10 mins to the top (a porter will carry your bag).

Day 2: Golden Rock – Mawlamyine (B)

Golden RockAfter enjoying sunrise, take a truck down to the base camp and proceed to Mawlamyine which take about 4 hours drive. Upon arrival in Mawlamyine, check in at hotel on Strand Road among historic buildings from colonial era. This evening, you will proceed to U Zina Pagoda to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Afterwards, stroll along Strand Road where colonial buildings overlook the river and enjoy street food or dine at a local restaurant nearby.

Day 3: Mawlamyaing – Hpa-An (B)

Sein donAfter breakfast, sightseeing includes Mahamuni Pagoda, Kyaik Thanlan Pagoda, a major temple site in Mawlamyine such as Seindon Mibaya Kyaung. where King Mindon’s queen sought refuge, and the Zyegyi Market. Then drive to Hpa-An. You will arrive in Hpa-An around 1.5 hours and take a short break before exploring Hpa-An. This small and busy provincial town is favored by farmers traveling in carts or trishaws and selling their products. Stroll through the market in the evening and visit Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda at the river banks.

Day 4: Fullday Cycling to Sadan Cave (B,L)

 Sadan CaveMeet our cycling guide at your Hpa an Hotel, after a short safety briefing we will start our ride to Beautiful limestone mountains with green paddy field. We will cycle first to Kaw Ka Taung Cave near Hpa an after passing through Karen village and beautiful bridge.

After Lunch we visit to Sadan Cave once believed that the kings of elephants lived and beautiful Buddhas statues and images inside the cave. Then take a pleasant boat ride in small lake which lead back to the front of the cave.

We turn our way back to hpa an on the way visit to Kyauk Ka Latt Pagoda with beautiful artificial lake and Lumbini garden. After riding through beautiful green valley, arrive back to Hpa an in the evening. Transfer back to your hpa an hotel by Motor bike truck.

Day 5: Drive back to Yangon (B)

Today, you will drive back to Yangon. Enroute you pass the Bayin-Nyi cave with hot spring at the base of the hill that includes some very interesting Buddha statues at the front side.  Lunch at restaurant on the way. Then another stop in Htaukkyant township to visit the Allied War Cemetery, the final resting place for more than 27,000 Allied Soldiers who perished during the World War II campaign. Upon arrival in Yangon, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Yangon.
