Detailed Itinerary Day 01: Bagan – Kanpetlet (-, L,D) Departing early this morning,you will travel by jeep to Kanpetlet. During the 7 hour drive, there will be many opportunities to stretch your legs, explore villages and take photos. Your first stop along the way will be in Chauk’s morning market. You will enjoy lunch in Kazunma Village and then continue on to Saw for an afternoon tea break. From Saw it’s a short 18 km to Kanpetlet. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel this evening. Overnight in Kanpetlet Day 02: Kanpetlet (B, L, D) After breakfast you will start to explore the surrounding. You will visit a chin village and get an insight of their life. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. You will overnight in Kampletlet where you will enjoy a dinner. Overnight in Kanpetlet Day 03: Kanpetlet – Trek Mt. Victoria – Aye Village(B,L,D) After breakfast, you will travel to the base of Mt Victoria and begin a 3 hour ascent among lush vegetation, rare species of birds and fantastic views of the Chin mountains. The first 45-60 minutes is uphill but the terrain soon levels out for an easy climb. Upon reaching the peak you will be rewarded with a wonderful lunch. After treking Mt. Victoria, return to your jeep for a 1.5 hour 20 km drive through rugged terrain to Aye, a Chin Ciff Village. Spend to in the village learning about their traditions and culture including the Chin tradition of the women’s tattooed faces. Enjoy an authentic local dinner in a family home. Overnight at Aye Camp Day 04: Aye Village – Trek Kyardo Village – Lote Pe Village – Mindut (B, L,D) After breakfast, a 2 hour jeep trip brings you to the starting point of the trek to Kyardo Village. Follow a dirt track for one hour to a stream where you’ll take a short break before continuing another hour to Kyardo village. The people of Kyardo are strong believers in spirits and animism and can often be seen wearing their traditional costumes. Take a stroll around the village and experience the customs of these people. After lunch in the village, continue your trek to Lote Pe, an old Chin Village atop a hill where you will meet more women with tattooed faces. Continue 60 minutes downhill to the stream where the jeeps are waiting to transfer you to Mindut. This afternoon, arrive in Mindut and check in to your local guest house. Relax after your day of trekking and enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Mindut Day 05: Mindut – Ponetaung Ponenyar – Bagan (B,L) After breakfast, stroll through the Mindut market , where village people from the area gather to buy and sell their goods. Embark on the drive back to Bagan, stopping along the way to stretch your legs, take photos and enjoy tea breaks in small villages. In the afternoon, arrive to Pakkoku where you can take the delicious lunch (Yaw Buffet) then visit the famous Thihoshin Pagoda and ShweGu Ta Gal Pagoda. Then continue to Bagan. Detailed Itinerary Day 1: Yangon – Thandaunggyi (B,L,D) Depart Yangon in the morning at 6 a.m by car. On the way, the first stop for a break at 115 mile. The car will reach Taungoo about noon and proceed to Thandaunggyi. Lunch at Thandaunggyi. After lunch, check in at a Bed & Breakfast, climb up NawBu Baw Prayer Mountain, spend time for the prayers and worship, enjoy the picturesque natural landscape and the cool and fresh mountain air, and take photo records of the memorable trip. Sightseeing start with old tea factory from colonial days, and looking around tea plantation. Dinner and overnight at local B & B. Day 2: Thandaunggyi – Taungoo (B,L,D) Early morning breakfast with Karen traditional steamed sticky rice with Thandaunggyi tea and coffee. Depart from Thandaunggyi and visit a hot spa on the way back, another recreation at Thandaung Myothit. Lunch and shopping at Karen dress shop in Taungoo and proceed to Hotel for your overnight stay. Overnight at Hotel Day 3: Trekking around Taungoo (B,L,D) Start from Myanmar Beauty Hotel 2 at 6 am and walking through three villages and farms for one and half hour. Then cross Sittaung river by local ferry around 8:30 am and trekking along Golden road on eastern bank of Sittaung river. Arrive Myat Saw Nyi Naung pagoda around 11am and enjoy Lunch at pagoda and afternoon break. Start trekking at 3pm from pagoda on short cut to Taungoo along villages. Sunset watching at Sittaung river. Arrive back at Myanmar Beauty Hotel 2 around 7 pm. Overnight at Hotel Day 4: Taungoo to Elephant Camp (B,L,D) Leave Taungoo in the morning around 8:00 am and drive (2hr) to elephant camp. Visit villages and sightseeing on the way (1hr). Lunch at elephant camp. Elephant ride in the afternoon for about 1 hour before sun set and overnight at the camp. Day 5: Taungoo – Yangon (B,L) Get up early morning (6am) and follow the elephant master (Oo Zi) to chase his elephant which was freed into the jungle for the whole night (optional). Detail Itinerary Day 01: Arrival Nyaung U, Bagan Sightseeing (-, -, -) After breakfast, transfer to Yangon Airport for a flight to Bagan. Upon your arrival time, transfer to your hotel. After a short rest, you will explore the archaeological fields of Bagan. Between the 11th and 13th century one of the greatest and most beautiful cities of Asia was located at this field and decorated with more than 13000 temples, pagodas and monasteries. Around 2000 religious buildings are preserved. Visit the Shwezigon Pagoda which was built in the 11th century, the kubyaukgyi temple with its famous mural paintings and the Htilomino temple which reaches a height of 46 meters. In the afternoon continue to the well-known Ananda temple which once set the architectural benchmark in Asia. Later see the holy Manuha, Nanpaya and Myinkabar Gubyaukgyi. Enjoy the romantic sunset at one of the many pagodas. Overnight stay in Bagan Day 2: Tamarind Lake CBT Village Home (B , L ,-) The car driver will pick you up from your hotel in Bagan at 9am and then start the tour. Drive to Tamarind Lake which is CBT village and en route to Tamarind Lake, you will see Salay City, located in Chauk Township, approximately 1 hour and half drive away from Bagan. Salay is well-known for the ancient religious monuments from the Konbaung Dynasty (late 19th Century). Among those monuments, Yoke Sone Kyaung Monastery/Museum is a must-see for the visitors. After 1 hour and half driving, firstly you will arrive to Tamarind Lake Village Homes (Ma Kyi Kan Village) and the village will welcome you with traditional music and dance performance show. After that, village’s home cooked lunch will wait for you under the bamboo house. After having the great lunch, you will have a chance to visit around village and farm by riding bullock cart with guiding local guide. After take a rest at village, in around 2 pm, the driver and village local guide will send you to Yoke Sone Monastery, It is famous with its spectacular woodcarvings and also it is the native town of the famous writer Salay U Pone Nya during the time of the Myanmar Kings. There are very beautiful artistic work woodcarvings around it and also ancient Buddha image, utensils of Yadanabon 19 century period. After that, Shin Pin Sar Kyo Hla Pagoda, Mann Pagoda, U Phoe Kyi House and Salay House which is a restaurant with souvenir shop displaying antique and traditional homemade things. And then you will have to visit to Salay Tamarind Juice production site and you can also taste and buy. Salay After all sightseeing in Salay, the driver will take you back to Bagan and drop you down to your hotel or your location. Overnight stay in Bagan Day 3: (B,-,-) Today after breakfast, you will visit to Min-Nan-Thu village. The villagers are open and friendly. Visitors can enjoy villager’s demonstration of a frame of their traditional life including cotton weaving, peanut oil distillation, etc. Some villagers make bamboo ware for sale: picture frames, handy phone holders, pen holders, etc. when you arrive in Bagan, why do not you have a look at the Min-nan-thu village activities to understand the local people life? It will be an unforgettable memory. Then, visit West Pwa-Saw village. It is located 3 km to the northeast of New Bagan and just within a stone’s throw from Min-Nan-Thu village. The village name derived from Queen Pwa-Saw of Bagan Period. The villagers introduced lacquer ware production techniques in 1990s from MyinKaba Village where they used to work. Nowadays, a certain number of the village households live on lacquer ware production. Younger generation is starting succeeding to the know-how. The village has some spirited and talented craftsmen. You will find different types of their original products at workshops. This is a still unknown but really unmissable village. Take a break and return to your hotel for a short rest, escaping the heat of the midday sun. In the evening explore the tour by bike passing Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan, massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork, and Sulamani Temple. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the plains from the upper terrace of one of the temples.
