Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Heho, Inle Sightseeing (-, -, -)

Inle LakeAfter breakfast, transfer to Yangon Airport for a flight to Heho where a scenic one-hour drive leads to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which features beautiful carvings and a collection of Buddha images. Start with a visit to the Nyaung Shwe morning market where locals gather every morning to buy and sell fresh produce from the lake and its surroundings. Take a tour by local trishaw the bustling canal and watch the boats unload their produce for distribution to markets around the country. Visit the ‘tomato house’, a warehouse where produce is sorted and priced for sale.

Upon reaching the edges of Inle Lake, board a private motorboat for a river cruise past Intha villages built on stilts over the lake and floating garden. Also, observe the leg-rowing fishermen. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, housing five sacred Buddha images covered too much in gold leaf and make the Buddha Images to disappear its, original shape and form instead become look like a big chunk of Golden Mushroom. Then return to land for your overnight stay.

Day 02: Maingthauk – Lwelem – Inne ( B, L, D)

Mine thout bridgeStarting point is at Minethauk Bridge at about 8:30 AM. Trek up to Lwelem village where you will have lunch. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and view of Inle Lake on the way up. After lunch we proceed to Inne (CBT project village) where we take a night stop at the community house. You will have an opportunity to dress in a Pa‐O traditional costume during your stay. After dinner, the villagers will entertain you by playing their traditional musical instruments and showing you their ways of dancing.

Distance = 12 km, Walking Hour = 4:30hrs (approx.)

Trek condition = 55% up, 10% down & 35% flat

Overnight at Community house

Day 03: Yan Aung Mountain – Htiwarmuu Village – Tootan Village (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we leave at 8:30 AM to continue to the peak of Yan Aung Mountain range (1980m above sea level) and have a packed picnic lunch there. It is a good opportunity to take a break and enjoy the panoramic view.

After lunch walk down to Htiwarmuu village. We continue walking along the mountain range and arrive at Tootan village where we stop for the night at a local house.

Distance = 14 km, Walking Hour = 5hrs (approx.)

Trek condition = 25% down, 40% up &35% flat

Day 04: Kyaung Hto Village – Kakku (B,L,D)

Kakku pagoda

After breakfast say good bye to the local family and leave at 8:00 AM. We will walk along a road and discover the rural life. We reach to Kyaung Hto village where we will have lunch.

After lunch, we proceed to Kakku. The Kakku pagoda complex is a hidden treasure with nearly 2500 Buddhist stupas lying in parallel rows in an area of about ones square kilometer. In Myanmar the Kakku pagodas are worshipped as an important site of pilgrimage. Dinner will be served at a local house with home cooked food. Stay overnight at that Kakku village.

Distance = 15 km Walking Hour = 5 hrs (approx.)

Trek condition = 5 % up, 15 % down & 80 % flat

Day 05: Kakku – K-Luu Village – Hti Ne (B, L,D)

Pa-O village

After breakfast, we depart at 8:00 AM from Kakku and pass through a Pa‐O village. On the way we see diverse seasonal plantations like beans, garlic or rice paddies, corn, etc in this very fertile area. We reach K‐Luu village where we have lunch.

After lunch we keep on walking to Hti‐Ne (CBT project village). The villagers will welcome you to the community house where we will have dinner. After dinner, the villagers will entertain you by playing their traditional musical instruments and showing their ways of dancing. We stay overnight at the community house.

Distance = 18 km Walking Hour = 6:30 hrs (approx.)

Trek condition = 60 % up, 10 % down & 30 % flat

Day 06: Htithakaw Village – Moekaung Village – Magyikone (B,L)

After breakfast we leave from the community house at 8:30 AM and take a stroll around the village. Here we can see hand‐weaving of tissues for Pa‐O traditional shoulder bags, then trek down the mountain slope to Htithakaw village and continue to Moekaung village where we stop for lunch.

After lunch we proceed to Magyikone boat jetty by passing through seasonal crop plantations, across a small bridge and some villages. Return to your hotel by boat.

Distance = 14 km, Walking Hour = 5hrs (approx.)

Trek condition = 30% down, 5% up & 65% flat

Overnight at Nyaung Shwe / Inle Lake

Day 07: Heho Departure (B, -, -)

After breakfast this morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon.

(Your hotel room is available until 12:00. If you are departing later, you can ask the hotel to keep the luggages. A late check-out is possible upon availability with some charge.)
